2007 Smithsonian Folklife Festival

These are photos from the Mekong River and Northern Ireland sections of the festival. I took a lot of photos, but I pruned the majority of them. I guess, for the most part, I never quite hit my stride.

So, even if these photos are mostly snapshot like, it was interesting to see the crafts and listen to the music from the Mekong River region of Asia. The Northern Ireland music was a little disappointing. It was competent, it just didn’t feel like the musicians were having fun.

I spent almost no time in the Virginia section of the fair. I walked through briefly but nothing caught my eye or ear.
