Monuments and Cherry Blossoms

I haven’t had a chance to photograph the Cherry Blossoms in a very long time so I took advantage of having to go into the District for other reasons to piggy back a side trip to the Tidal Basin. As I took the metro in to the city the weather was rainy and windy but fortunately the sun had come out by the time I was ready to take pictures. Unfortunately, the wind remained. And that wind had had a bit of an effect on the trees. A number of trees were missing a fair amount of their blossoms but the majority remained.

The light was not great but you take your opportunities when you get them.
