August 2005 NAQP

The North American QSO Party seems to be on its way to becomming a VWS tradition. The weather was quite cooperative although the ionosphere wasn’t for the first few hours. It looked like we were on our way to the worst score we’d ever had.

Fortunately, the bands seemed to settle down and we ultimately made one more contact than last year. When this is combined with the great weather and Chef Tom/K4TCM’s outstanding cuisine and it’s the recipe for a great day!

I didn’t take too many photos. I suppose I spent too much time gabbing either with people at the site or on the radio, but what few I took are posted for your viewing pleasure.
