Museum of Flight

Donna and I spent a few hours at the Museum of Flight by Boeing Field in Seattle.

After having been to the two Smithsonian Air & Space Museums so many times, it was an interesting change to see how another organization approached the subject. The weather was perfect which was welcomed since several exhibits (among them, the Concorde and Air Force One) were outside.

Architecturally the museum was more like Udvar-Hazy than the museum on the Mall but less hangar-like and with more light. There are a lot of planes and a few spacecraft inside although they seem to have a fair amount of space left to put things. It’s worth a visit if you are near Seattle and have an interest in aviation.
